• Question: Do you have any examples of theories you would like to put together to make sense of the universe?

      That’s a very interesting questions. Theoretical physicists try lots of different things to try find “the theory” of the universe. But there one problem that turns out to be very difficult to solve and that it putting gravity together with all the other forces like electro-magnetism. That’s the problem that Einstein himself couldn’t solve. In the last few years there is now a possible solution called string theory. It’s very radical because it says that all our particles are actually very ting strings vibrating in different ways. But the most important thing is gravity is in it. So I along with many others are studying aspects of this theory because we think it could be the ultimate theory of the universe. So why not study physics and join this research because there are so many unsolved problems.
