      It’s unacceptable. Simple as that.
      You may not be gay yourself, you may not even like other people being gay, but you should definitely shut up and let them enjoy their life as much as you hopefully enjoy yours. 🙂

      Homophobia is a vile and unpleasant viewpoint in my opinion. Trying to interfere in the lives of two consenting adults who *love* each other, just because they’re different?

      I try to be a live and let live sort of person, but I cannot tolerate homophobes. Through their hatred and bigotry they try to hurt people who are brought together out of love. There’s little worse in my opinion.
