yes I think science is hard but it’s well worth the effort because you are learning about how the universe works, or how our favourite gadgets work, or what we are made of. There are so many questions that we have answered but many more remaining so scientists are going to be busy for a long time. So why not study hard and become one and experience the buzz…I can’t believe that someone pays me to think about cool things like black holes. How good is that!

Yeah, science in school was a lot easier back when we thought the entire universe consists of earth, fire, air and water, and lightning is thrown at us by some angry god. 🙂
Now that we know that the universe actually consists of a small set of elementary particles, interacting through forces of very special properties, with lightning now known to be a plasma channel through which electric currents flow, science in school has indeed become a bit more complicated. But now you can actually *use* it, rather than spend days discussing with your fellow philosophers whether sheep contain more water or fire or earth or air. 🙂
So, yes, the universe is quite complicated, and we understand a lot of it, and therefore science is not easy. But I hope you agree that it’s worth having. Science is not taught in school to annoy you. It’s taught in school to give you the chance to make a difference in science or engineering. Consider it an investment. 🙂

Yeah, science in school is hard. You’re having to cover 1000 years of human scientific progress from the ground up. It is extremely rewarding though because everything you learn will build upon stuff you previously learnt, and so on. I like to think of it a bit like knowledge lego.
