• Question: What's your favourite element? Mine is dysprosium.

      I have never even heard of dysprosium, to be honest. Just googled it. Why do you like it? Because it’s so hard to get?
      I actually do have a favourite as well, which is *slightly* easier to get ahold of, even though I’ve never had it in pure form. It’s iridium, mostly because of that distinct shine it has. As a kid, I decided I’d have an iridium coated car later in life. Meanwhile I am not so sure anymore this is ever going to happen. 🙂

      My favourite element is hydrogen. The reason is that I am a theorist and so I love systems that I can solve exactly and hydrogen is simple enough that I can do that. The next element up helium has 2 electrons and can only be solved on a computer…which is not so nice for me.
